Dear Friends,

What a summer we have had. June was filled with working on song arraignments for our new CD There Is A Hope, and plans for a two week tour/vacation out west, as well as plans for the new CD project. In July we took a two week tour / vacation out west. Youth Camp followed right after the trip. Then in August we traveled to Tennessee to record our second CD.

We left home for our two week tour early Tuesday morning, July 7, and pulled back into the driveway Wednesday evening, July 22. Seven concerts were given at:

Wesleyan Bible Church in Lakewood, CO

Emmett Community Bible Church in Emmett, ID

Emmett Assembly Church in Emmett, ID

Grace Bible Church in Meridian, ID

Faith Bible Church in Lewiston, ID

Victory Fellowship Church of God (Holiness) in Auburn, WA

Star Lake Church of God (Holiness) in Federal Way, WA

The Lord’s presence was evident everywhere we sang. We are grateful for rich memories of worship, for time spent with two of my aunts and several cousins, for safety over the 4,800 miles on the road, and for lots of time together as a family. We were as high as 9,000 feet in Colorado, LeWain II and I played golf with my cousin Phil in Boise, played guitar and sang with two aunts and some cousins one evening, went up the Snake River over night with my cousin Brett and his family, learned to Jet Ski (even the old man), saw seven rams feeding down by the river’s edge, saw snow capped mountains, deserts, fertile valleys, drove through mountain passes, and learned how wonderful your own bed feels.

I felt like God wanted to punctuate how he was taking care of us on the road. We had one flat in 4,800 miles. The Saturday morning we were to leave for Seattle, WA, from Lewiston, ID, we started loading our suburban when we saw a tire was down to the rim. In over 4,800 miles of travel, and 6 places we stayed, the home where we had the flat was the home of the only mechanic we stayed with. In fifteen minutes he had the tire off, took it across the street to a tire shop (whose owner was a friend of his and didn’t charge us), and had it back on the suburban. Now God could have kept us from having a flat all together, but instead, He let us see how perfectly He was taking care of us. When you consider that our 2003 suburban has over 340,000 miles on it, it ran perfectly for us, and the only vehicle incident was this flat tire taken care of in fifteen minutes, I felt tremendously blessed that day we had the flat. I felt like God was showing us how well He is taking care of us on the road.

We had a tremendous time at Youth Camp July 25 – August 2. God still meets with us on Harmony Hill. Tuesday night there were easily over 75 young people seeking God at the altar. There was no need for a lengthy altar call. The evangelist opened the altar and the kids just went in droves. The greatest blessing for me was praying with our foster daughter that night as she accepted Christ as her savior. Another blessing for me was seeing two young men accept God’s call to preach. This has been a burden on my heart. Jesus said to pray the Lord of the harvest to send forth laborers into the field. We still need more faithful laborers.

We recorded our second CD August 11-13 in Morristown, TN, with Roger Talley, of the Talley Trio, as our producer. The instrumental tracks were recorded on Tuesday in Ashville, SC. Our vocals were recorded on Wednesday and Thursday in Morristown, TN. The title song, There Is a Hope, is one of two original songs by LeWain Dysart on the CD. The eleven song CD is rounded out by nine other favorites of the Dysart’s that we trust will be a blessing to you, just as they have been a blessing to us. We had a wonderful experience working with the talented musicians that joined Roger in the studio. They created beautiful instrumental tracks that complemented each song perfectly. As we entered each studio we prayed for the Lord’s anointing and blessing, submitting this CD project to Him. There were several incidences that pointed to the Lord’s blessing and help throughout the project, for which we are humbled and grateful. Roger Talley was a tremendous help for us, stretching and guiding us beyond what we thought we could do.

Now the summer is over, school is begun, our new CDs should be delivered by the end of September, and we are looking forward to lifting up Jesus in song.

The Lord Bless and keep you,
